Long Pocket upgrade of electrical infrastructure - update

31 August update

There will be an installation of builders fencing to the driveway leading to the Foxtail Building (1019) at the UQ Long Pocket site.

This is in addition to the existing site fencing adjacent to the Yellow Box Building (1021B), Daniella Building (1021) and right hand side of Discovery Drive near the Tuckeroo Building (1018A). See a map showing the fencing areas (PDF, 295KB).  The additional fencing is highlighted as Area D.

Affected Areas

Area A – Yellow Box Building (1021B) Caretakers residence

  • south side near Meiers Road,
  • building access will not be affected

Area B – Daniella Building (1021)

  • east side adjacent laneway
  • building access will not be affected

Area C – Tuckeroo Building (1018A)

  • south and east, right side lane of Discovery Drive
  • access through road and to Tuckeroo Building will not be affected

Area D – Foxtail Building (1019)

  • driveway to Foxtail building

Overall work details

There will be installation of underground conduits for power and communications as part of a project to upgrade the electrical instrastructure at the UQ Long Pocket site.  Builders fencing will be in place during the works.
