Physiology Refectory (63A) refurbishment update

19 Dec 2018

19 December update

Demolition works are progressing well on site with the majority of internal structures and services removed. Access through the tunnel under Physiol will be restricted due to propping of the structure. This will allow heavy machinery to be used inside the old refectory kitchen and speed up the demolition process. The external toilets adjacent Skerman Building (65) are closed.

Physiology Building construction works

Overall project

There will be construction work to refurbish the Physiology Refectory (63A). A new food complex to replace the existing Physiol refectory is due to open in semester one 2019. The centre will comprise seven food outlets, a self-service food preparation kitchen with microwaves, more indoor and outdoor seating, and improved access for people of all abilities. More information on the project is available on the project website.

Noisy work is scheduled to occur out of hours where possible to minimise disruption. Access through the construction zone will not be possible except in case of emergency. Please see this site map [PDF, 245KB]. Additional wayfinding signage will be installed.
