Priestley Building (67) and Building 69 refurbishment update

19 December update

The works will be delivered in 2 stages.

  • Stage 1 consists of Central Teaching funded refurbishment works inclusive of removal of all identified asbestos, demolition of existing space followed by full refurbishment of interiors, replacement of external glazing, installation of chilled water air-conditioning, removing the landing blockwork of the internal staircase and replacing with glazing, manufacture and installation of sun-hoods, construction of exam submission space, and repair of fretted facade blockwork and mortar.
  • Stage 2 is in final design stage and will be tendered in the second week of January 2019. Overall project

There will be a refurbishment of the Priestley Building (67) levels 1 and 3, Building 69 level 3 and minor building works to the Priestley Building under-croft in St Lucia campus to allow development of teaching spaces.
