Heat pump installation in AEB (49)

Please be advised, there will be ongoing works beginning in the Advanced Engineering Building (49), Level 7 plantroom to install a new water source heat pump.

Affected Areas

  • Level 7 Plantroom for entire project duration
  • Level 4, 5, and 6 Northern Offices will lose air conditioning during shutdowns (dates TBC)


  • Start: Monday 25 October 2021
  • Finish: Monday 20 December 2021
  • Times: 6.00am – 3.00pm*
    • *times will vary throughout project depending on type of works

Work Details

Potential for short periods of noise disturbance on Levels 5 and 6 but will be largely dependent on daily works.
The mechanical services board feeding the Northern Offices on Levels 4, 5, and 6 will also be shutdown when required.
Occupants will be notified once timeline of construction is finalised on site.

Project Details

This project aims to minimise energy consumption by replacing the existing modulating gas burners currently supplying hot water to the building with a more energy efficient water sourced heat pump.
