Planned upgrade in JD Story (61)

Please be advised, the level 5 HR Office of JD Story (61) is planned to be upgraded in two stages.

Work will commence on 25 Oct 2021, where each stage will take 3 weeks.

Affected Area

When

Stage 1

  • Start: Monday, 25 October 2021
  • Finish: Friday, 12 November 2021
  • Times: 7am to 4pm daily

Stage 2

  • Start: Monday, 15 November 2021
  • Finish: Friday, 3 December 2021
  • Times: 7am to 4pm daily

Work details

  • Brief power outages, if required, will be performed outside business hours (details TBC):
  • Any noisy work will be done outside of business hours.
  • Removal of some fixed furniture
  • Recarpeting
  • New window blinds
  • Repainting as required
  • Review of lighting
  • Review of air-conditioning
  • Installation of new stand-alone furniture and storage (excludes workstations).

Project details

  • Staff during each will either Work from Home or dock in available desks elsewhere.
  • Once the project work has been completed staff will return to their old desk.

For the duration of each stage:

  • Only monitors will need to be removed from 100 desks. They will be disconnected and removed by the removalists and then stored in an room within the floor. The monitors will be reconnected on the last day of each stage
  • 7 x PCs need to be removed completely from desks in Stage 1 and stored for its duration and then reconnected
  • All storage is being emptied into packing boxes and stored within the floor.
