Gas detection Schedule at various UQ sites

Please be advised, there will be gas detection inspections in January and February as part of the 6 monthly regular intervals

When

  • Start: Saturday 15 January 2022
  • Finish: Sunday 2 February 2022
  • When: Between 7:00am and 5:00pm (refer to the attached program)

Work Details

  • Isolate equipment to allow safe access to carry out inspection and servicing of equipment.
  • Make any necessary adjustment and visually access all elements of the equipment.
  • Once inspection and service is complete remove isolation and test equipment operation.
  • Complete service report for each piece of equipment. Service report will detail finding and any work and adjustments that have been carried out as well as any repairs that need to be completed.
  • Equipment will only be returned to service if deemed safe for continued use.

Requirements

  • Access to all parts of the equipment will be required.
  • It may be necessary to barricade off area below equipment.
  • Isolation of equipment will be necessary to complete the inspection.
  • Equipment will be unavailable for the duration of the inspection.
  • Inspection duration of most pieces of equipment will be no greater than 2 hours.
