Plant Growth Facility Construction works

Please be advised, construction works will continue for the Plant Grow Facility on the project site located at the corner of Glasshouse Rd and Services Road. Demolition of the existing buildings and ground slabs will re-commence from the 5th of January 2022.

Affected Areas

  • Works will be contained to the Plant Grow Facility site which will be subject to traffic control restriction during this time.

When

  • Start: Wednesday 5 January 2022
  • Finish: Friday 14 January 2022
  • Times: 6:30am to 6:00pm

Works Schedule

  • Wed 5 Jan – Fri 7 Jan
    • Demolition of existing buildings (Building 88)
    • Removal of demolished material
  • Mon 10 Jan – Fri 14 Jan
    • Demolition of ground slabs
    • Removal of demolished material
    • Mobilisation for Bored Piers

Project details

  • The Plant Growth Facility (PGF) project will provide world-leading research facility that will contain an array of highly technical controlled environment rooms, capable of replicating a variety of environmental conditions to simulate natural conditions in a controlled and measurable manner. The facility will also include a glasshouse on the roof deck for further plant science research capability.
