Demolition works to Building 69 Roof

There will be a series of telecommunication and demolition works to the roof of Building 69 to allow for the decommissioning of the existing Optus Tower and surrounding infrastructure.

Affected Areas

  • Building 69 – roof
  • Building 62 – lift – used for access purposes
  • Mansfield Place


  • Start: Wednesday, 9 February 2022
  • Finish: Friday, 25 February 2022
  • Times: 6:30am to 4:00pm

Work details

  • A 70Lt All Terrain Crane will be in place on Saturday the 12th of February from 6.30am on Mansfield Place, to complete the necessary demolition works.  The crane will be in place for the Saturday only. Pedestrians will be excluded from the work zone and re-routed accordingly. Access to Building 62 and 69 via the Foyer will still be available, however, not from Mansfield Place.

Project details

  • The existing Optus Tower and surrounding infrastructure on the roof of Building 69 is due to be removed. Main demolition works will be completed via crane on Saturday 12/02. The remainder of the works will take place on the roof of Building 69 to make good upon Construction Completion.
