Sir Llew Edwards - Facade Replacement Update

There will be disruptions to the Sir Llew Edwards Building and University Drive for facade replacement works.
Works over the coming weeks will include demolition of cladding within the Atrium and along Campbell Rd, as well as a crane lift for materials.

Further disruptions will continue to be communicated as works progress.

Expected completion date for the project is January 2023. Below is some further detail on disruptions over the coming 3 – 4 weeks.

University Drive – Road Closure

  • Full road closure for crane lift, refer image below
  • Traffic control to assist traffic and pedestrians
  • Footpath adjacent to Sir Llew Edwards atrium will be closed

6:00am – 9:00am

08th July 2022

Campbell Road - Cladding Demolition & Sunshade Removal

  • Partial road closure (traffic control to assist traffic and pedestrians)
  • Footpath closures
  • Cladding removal requires exclusion zone.
  • Cladding removal at eaves will cause noisy works to offices on Level 5 & 6

6:00am – 6:00pm

06th July 2022 to 30th July 2022

Atrium & Balcony – Cladding Demolition

  • Intermittent noisy works for cladding demolition
  • Alterations to building access points, pedestrians to follow construction signage
  • Cladding removal at balconies and Atrium which will cause noisy works to offices & kitchen on Level 5 & 6

6:00am – 6:00pm

06th July 2022 to 30th July 2022

Level 6 Balconies will be closed for the duration of the project.
