Upcoming Pump Upgrade: Plainland Underpass

13 Sep 2022

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is closing the Plainland pedestrian underpass for two weeks during the September school holidays (19-30 September) for flood mitigation works. The underpass closure also occurs during the mid-semester break (26-30 September). As there is no alternate pedestrian route to cross the Warrego Highway at Plainland, pedestrians will be required to seek an alternative travel method. Nearby residents and businesses may experience temporary construction noise and dust while the works are underway. For bus users who may be affected, please see MRT’s flyer here for more information. Please also note there WILL NOT be intercampus bus operations on Thursday 22 September in observance of the Queen’s Memorial Public Holiday.
