Please be advised, there will be a closure of Car Park 2, 24-48 Walcott Street for a replacement of the Tritium EV charger.
This work will require a crane lift, resulting in an additional road closure on the upper end of Walcott Street. There will be a large exclusion zone in place to reduce pedestrian access and diversions will be in place to re-direct traffic.
Affected Areas
- Warehouse Building 99 & Parking Areas 1 and 2
- Parking Areas 3 (98b) & Parking Areas 4 (98a) - potential indirect impacts
When
- Start: Saturday, 8 October 2022
- Finish: Saturday, 8 October 2022
- Times: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Work details
The Tritium RT50 charger will be replaced on Saturday, 8th October 2022, in the existing location of Parking Area 2 (entrance via Walcott Street), Zone 1472100. The area will likely have very little traffic given it is a non-teaching day at the University.
The car park is not accessible by truck via the standard vehicle entry as clearance is only 1.2m. We advise to use the access from Sir Fred Schonell Drive against the normal flow of traffic.
Project details
The project will involve removing an existing RT50 Tritium Charger and replacing it.
