Telecommunication upgrade: Building 69

There will be a telecommunication upgrade to the existing rooftop equipment to Building 69 to allow for 5G modernisation.

Please be advised that a crane truck will be in operation after hours on the 19th of February and the 22nd of February (night works). Traffic control, spotters, exclusion zones and alternative pedestrian traffic routes will be in place where required (See crane lift overview below)

Affected areas

  • Building 69
  • Rooftop & Plant Rooms Level 9.
  • Front entrance crane lift (access will be maintained) Mansfield place*

When

  • Start: Monday, 19 February 2024
  • Finish: Monday, 4 March 2024
  • Times: Works to be carried out during regular business hours 7:00am-5:00pm, except for crane lifts which will be done after hours.

Work details

The purpose of this upgrade is to provide additional network capacity and 5G technology in the local area. There will be minimal disruption to occupants as works are isolated to the rooftop and plant rooms, however there may be additional foot traffic in the building throughout the day (via contractor) and possibly some intermittent noise via use of power tools.

Project details

The following works are proposed.

  • Removal of existing equipment
  • Minor structural works and replacement / reconfiguration of existing and new antennas
  • Installation of new auxiliary equipment
  • Reconfiguration and installation of new and existing equipment within the existing equipment cabin
