UQ Centre
The Centre is currently undergoing works and access is restricted. A limited number of events have been approved to use the Centre in 2024.
From 2025 the UQ Centre (Building 27A) on Union Road will be primarily used as an indoor multi-sport facility.
A limited number of non-sporting events, including graduation ceremonies, have been approved to use the Centre. The venue is otherwise unavailable for hire for non-sporting activities.
The lecture theatre within the Centre is not impacted by this change and will continue to be used as a teaching and learning space. Bookings for the theatre can be made via the Central learning spaces webpage.
If you have an approved event planned at the Centre, you will have received an email from the Property and Facilities team.
Catering and alcohol
If you plan to have catering at your event, you can use external caterers who will be given access to the Kiosk kitchen facilities. You can also find out what you need to do to apply to have alcohol at your event or function.
