Bicycle parking and facilities
To help protect your property and reduce the risk of theft, please use our free, secure and enclosed designated bicycle parking facilities.
UQ has the following bicycle facilities available:
Bike boxes/ End of trip facilities
UQ students and staff can apply for free access to on-campus end of trip facilities (EoT).
A bike box is a secure and sheltered bicycle storage room with:
- Locker facilities
- Showers and change rooms
- Toilets, and in some cases
- Secure bicycle parking
How to apply for access to a bike box/ end of trip facility:
- Email your request to pfassist@pf.uq.edu.au and include your UQ username, first and last names
- Once processed you will receive confirmation.
How to apply for a locker within an end of trip facility:
- Read and complete the Bike Box Locker Application Form (DOCX, 59 KB)
- Email the completed form to pfassist@pf.uq.edu.au
- PF Assist will notify you of locker availability outcome
- Collect your key from:
- St Lucia — PF Assist, Level 5, Prentice Centre (42) from 8:30am-4:30pm
- Herston — Student Hub, Level 5, Oral Health Centre (883) 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Long Pocket – Posted via internal mail from PF Assist. Keys can also be collected from PF Assist, Level 5, Prentice Centre (42), St Lucia from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Bicycle storage rooms
UQ students and staff can apply for free access to on-campus bicycle storage rooms.
A bicycle storage room is a secure and sheltered space for bicycle parking. Bicycle storage rooms do not include lockers and other facilities.

The Manager, Transport Systems, has authorised the use of the bicycle storage room by Diamantina Institute staff.
Lockers
UQ students and staff who ride to St Lucia, Herston and Long Pocket can hire lockers to store their belongings. Lockers are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
To apply for a locker:
- Read and complete the PF05 Locker Application form (PDF, 186.4 KB)
- Email the form to pfassist@pf.uq.edu.au
- PF Assist will notify you of locker availability outcome
- Collect your key from:
- St Lucia — PF Assist, Level 5, Prentice Centre (42) from 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Herston — Student Hub, Level 5, Oral Health Centre (883) 8:30am - 4:30pm
