Facade Replacement Works: UQ Centre (27A) Fortnightly Lookahead

Please be advised UQ Centre (27A) cladding replacement works have now commenced. The below notification provides a fortnightly lookahead for upcoming works.

This cladding project is expected to run from March 2023 until May 2024.

Timeframe: Monday 24 April 2023 – Monday 8 May 2023

Western Elevation 

  • Scaffold build continuing along Union Rd
  • Cladding removal to commence, noisy works expected during works
  • Access through Union Rd will remain open for direct access to Union complex for deliveries, clinic appointments, emergency vehicles, etc.
  • EWP use
  • It is requested that access through Union Rd by public and staff is minimised where possible
     

6:30am – 5:00pm

  • Site Fence, as shown in red, to remain in place for duration of project
For Duration of ProjectUntil May 2024

Eastern Elevation

  • Cladding removal to commence, noisy works expected during works
  • Upper walkway will be closed (however, will be accessible in an emergency)

Northern Elevation

  • Saw cut to footpath to commence in preparation for Hoist installation – noisy works expected during works

Southern Elevation

  • Cladding removal to commence, noisy works expected during works
  • Access to Southeast corner will require EWP, Service Carpark closed whilst EWP is in use
  • Southeast Walkway under Connection Bridge to remain closed, Structural Propping to be installed to support vehicle travel. Alternative Pedestrian Route in place.
