Facade Replacement Works: PACE (870) monthly lookahead

Some disruption to the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) Building (870) for the Façade Replacement Project will continue as the contractor progresses with the replacement of the non-compliant combustible cladding scope of work.  These works will cause some intermittent noise and there will be some exclusion zones to footpaths, roads and work zones during these works, managed by the Contractor.

The cladding replacement on the PACE Building is expected to be complete by January 2024 and ongoing communications will be provided to give regular updates regarding upcoming works.

The works nominated below will create intermittent noise and may cause disruption. Exclusion zones surrounding works area will be in place and managed by the contractor.

  • Cyclist and pedestrian access is open and managed by traffic control for any closures or disruptions.

Lecture Theatre

  • Northern, Southern and Western elevations - Demolition and make good of framing.

  • Northern, Southern and Western elevations - cladding installation.

These works will be carried out using mobile scissor lift which will create some beeping and may be disruptive.

19 June – 7 July

16 June – end of July

Level 6 Glazing

  • Closure of outdoor seating area adjacent to the Café.
  • Removal of outdoor seating area roof and construction of access scaffolding.
  • Installation of gantry structure to maintain access into lounge area.

  • Level 6 balcony to be closed and scaffold stair access to be built.

Closed From 29 June for 3-4 months

Cornwall Street Main Entrance

  • Contractor to establish at main entry and install gantry & scaffold
  • Any closure of entry will be completed out of building operating hours.

  • Install of cutting room to under awning at Level 3.

26 June – 5 July

From 26 June

Cornwall Street Southern Blade/Fin

  • Demolition and frame rectification to Blade Column.

21 June – 23 June
