Facade Replacement Works: Building 33 Fortnightly Lookahead

The Building 33 cladding replacement works are continuing. The notification below provides a fortnightly lookahead for upcoming works.

This cladding project is expected to run from April 2023 until November 2023

Fortnight Lookahead: 11 September 2023 to 25 September 2023

Date

North & South Elevation:

  • Removal of cladding, installation of sub framing and installation of new panels continues. This will be noisy works.
  • EWP and other machinery will be used, creating noise.

Refer to Figure 2 below.

Note: Access to Brew point Café will remain open during normal operating hours. Construction works on the North and South elevations of the building only to commence after 11am.

07:00am – 05:00pm

Expected works until end of September

West Elevation (Entry):

  • Removal of cladding, installation of subframing and installation of new panels continues. This will be noisy works.
  • Structural issue identified with substructure above entry will require extended closure to this area.
  • Some disruption to main entrance on Union Road, this will include half of the entrance foyer being closed at any one time as contractor removes panels and installs new. These works are expected to create noise.
  • Additional site fencing installed along pathway adjacent to Union Road.

NOTE: The viewing room remains accessible at all times.

Expected works until early November

Building 33 Lift:

  • There will be intermittent lift closures during working hours with alternative pedestrian routes in place (Refer to Figure 3 below).
