Facade Replacement Works: Centre for Advanced Imaging (57) lookahead

The Centre for Advanced Imaging (57) forms part of the UQ Façade Replacement Program. As part of these works the cladding on the CAI building will be replaced.

The Contractor has established work areas at the CAI Building in recent weeks and will continue to undertake preparation activities in readiness for the main cladding replacement works. This notification provides a lookahead for the upcoming fortnight.

The cladding works to CAI are expected to continue until August 2024.

  • Prep work – hand digging trenches.
  • Works contained within fenced area, however movement of spoil material out of compound to disposal area throughout the day

CAI Laneway - Rooms 132, 133, 134, 135, 136 and 137.

  • Remove plaster ceilings
  • Movement of removed material out of compound to disposal area throughout the day
  • Access to rooms by others restricted for the duration

6:30am to 4:00pm

31/08/23 to 1/09/23

Richie Building East Elevation – Contractor Compound

  • Excavator removing soil and putting down road base (NIA09)
  • Pedestrian movements will be controlled by Contractor whilst trucks and machines moving outside of compound

7am-1pm
