The Centre for Advanced Imaging, Gehrmann & Ritchie Research laboratories Buildings form part of the UQ Façade Replacement Program. The cladding replacement works are ongoing and the notification below provides a lookahead for upcoming disruptive works.
This CAI cladding works are expected to be complete in August 2024.
The Gehrmann cladding works are expected to be complete in October 2024
The Ritchie Research cladding works are expected to commence in April 2024 (Early measuring works taking place in March, refer below)

CAI East Elevation - Pedestrian Pathway Closure:
- This pathway, refer Figure 2, will be closed during working hours from Monday 4th March.
- The pathway will be opened in the event of an Emergency Evacuation from CAI. Alternative evacuation routes for other buildings will be signed.
- The pathway will be opened after hours.
- Deliveries lifted onto gantry above loading dock. Majority of these deliveries to be completed before 8:30am where possible

CAI Upper Roof - Cladding Replacement:
- Expected completion is w/c 11th March.
- Movement of materials on roof may cause noise on the floor below.
- Scaffold Demob:
- Removal of scaffold from the roof will commence once cladding to the roof is complete.
- This may cause noise disruption to levels below.
- A truck will be parked at the gantry for removal of scaffold materials.

- Removal cladding and install new. Entry will be closed during this time. These works will take place on Saturdays.

- Cladding removal and installation of air seal, framing and new panels continues.

- Scaffold to be built adjacent the front entry to Gehrmann. This may create some noise.
- Front entry will remain open.

- Research Rd will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians during this timeframe.
- Pedestrian access will be restricted during this time.
