ATS Testing Program: Various Buildings

Please be advised UGL will be completing 12 monthly ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) testing across various buildings/sites.

Affected areas

ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) Testing

  • UGL will be completing 12 monthly test on ATS’s as per attached.
  • There will be a power shutdown across various buildings/ sites as below. 
  • The purpose of the test is to ensure the proper functionality and performance of the switch and control systems in the event of a power outage. The test will involve switching the power source from the normal supply to the building providing backup essential power.
  • During this time, there may be temporary power disruptions and fluctuations, but we will make every effort to minimize the impact on your operations.

Work details

  • Isolate mains power to the building, there will be a momentary loss of power to all services for approximately <5 seconds. ATS will operate and provide essential power only. Proving time will range from 30 min to 1 hours (see attached program), Mains power will then be re-instated.
  • If RCD, Emergency Light & Emergency Stop Testing is scheduled for the same day, testing will then commence straight after ATS testing.

Special Note

  • S29 Gatton: There will be a site wide outage at Gatton to carry out ATS testing. There will be a momentary loss of power to all services for approximately <30 seconds. ATS & Generators will operate and provide essential power only.
