Roof Replacement Works: Building 69

15 Mar 2023

Please be advised there will be a series of noisy and general construction works occurring across the roof, facade and surrounding walkways commencing on Monday 20 March 2023 to building 69 as we undergo the building’s roof replacement.

Noise is expected to be minimal during operation hours of Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. There will be no impact to the buildings operation and access will not be affected.

Affected areas

  • Start: Monday, 20 March 2023
  • Finish: Friday, 30 June 2023
  • Times: 5:30am to 5:00pm
  • Please note: All crane lifts will be completed over weekends so the buildings and surrounding facilities will not be impacted.

Work details

Works will be isolated to the roof of Building 69. No other roofs will be worked on at this time.

To deliver Building 69s roof, we intend to split the roof into 4 x sections to be able to contain the noise and disruption to separate areas of the building.

Crane Lifts

Crane lifts (weather dependant) are expected to occur every Saturday for 5 weeks. Starting from the 25th of March 2023.

  • Exclusion zones will be in place limiting pedestrian traffic through the site at the time of the lift. More specific notifications will be issued out closer to the time.

Project details

Project will include:

  • Removing the existing roof sheeting and replacing
  • Investigating the existing purlins and replacing and/or repairing as need be
  • Installing new flashing and capping across the parapet
  • Upgrading the existing drainage systems and outflow points
  • Removing the existing waterproof membrane and re-installing
