Please be advised the roof membrane on Health Sciences (901) was removed last week. With the weather event on the 4July 2023, temporary measures were in place to reduce the amount of water that could potentially enter the building. However due to the amount of rain and stage of the project, water entered the building again. The locations of the leaks were in the same locations as previous locations prior to the commencement of the project.
Works are now underway in drying the flooring and ceilings and replacing damaged smoke detectors. Reoccupation of level 9 can now occur from Monday 10th July 2023.
The original program of works to be completed by the 29th August has not changed.
Site establishment - Affected areas
- Contractor will be commencing on site by delivering materials to the UQ carpark off Fig Tree Cres.
- Use of the carpark will be required for the contractor
- Access to the External doorway will be maintained

- Start: Monday 26 June 2023
- Finish: Tuesday 29 August 2023
