Works Updates and Lookahead: PACE (870) and TM@TRI

This announcement includes updates for the following works:

PACE (870) Façade Replacement
Construction of the Translational Manufacturing facility at the Translational Research Institute (TM@TRI)

Please note that TM@TRI works are adjacent to the Pharmacy Australia Centre for Excellence (870) on UQ-owned land but are otherwise separate to the works currently underway at PACE.

PACE Façade Replacement

Some disruption to the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) Building 870 for the Façade Replacement Project will continue as the contractor progresses with the replacement of the noncompliant combustible cladding scope of work. These works will cause some intermittent noise and there will be some exclusion zones to footpaths, roads and work zones during these works, managed by the Contractor.

The cladding replacement on the PACE Building is expected to be complete by January 2024. Ongoing communications will be provided to give regular updates regarding upcoming works.

Site Operations / Site Establishment Cyclist and pedestrian access is open and managed by traffic control for any closures or disruptions	Ongoing
Lecture Theatre Northern, Southern and Western elevations - cladding installation. These works will be carried out using mobile scissor lift which will create some beeping and may be disruptive. Noise expected during these works Exclusion zones surrounding works area will be in place	3 July – 21 July
Level 6 Glazing Closure of outdoor seating area (adjacent cafe) from 6 July. Removal of outdoor seating area roof and construction of access scaffolding. Installation of gantry structure to maintain access into lounge area. Level 6 balcony to be closed and scaffold stair access to be built to access high level glazing.	11 July – 21 July 10 July – 14 July
