Facade Replacement Works: Hawken Engineering Building (50) lookahead

The Hawken Engineering Building (50) cladding replacement works are going to be recommencing during weekdays following end of Semester 2. The notification below provides a lookahead for upcoming works.

This cladding project is expected to run from May 2023 until August 2024, noting that the majority of the works are completed during semester holiday periods.

Timeframe: 16 October 2023 to 30 October 2023

Date

  • Contractor removing cladding to North and South of Building, EWPs will be used in areas where cladding is to be removed; please refer to Figure 1 below for locations.
  • Disconnection of services may be required and further information would be provided to relevant stakeholders.
  • Hawken laneway to be closed during EWP operations (access to Lab S105 maintained).
  • Internal access to areas may be required during removal and installation of panels above windows. Any disruption will be communicated by the contractor.
  • Noisy works are expected.

Footpaths may have intermittent closures, alternative pedestrians’ routes to be put in place.

Bicycle stands located North side of Hawken will be closed.

Motorcycle Parking East of Hawken will be closed.
