Facade Replacement Works: Physiology Lecture Theatres (63) lookahead

The Physiology Lecture Theatres (63) forms part of the UQ Façade Replacement Program. As part of these works the cladding on the Physiology building will be replaced.

This notification provides a lookahead for the upcoming works and important changes to access to and around the CAI building during this time.

Works at Physiology Lecture Theatres building are expected to take place during semester break until Mid-2024.

Site Compound

Site compound will be set up in Mansfield Place car parking area. Materials movements from the site compound / delivery area will be undertaken with forklift and spotter.

6am to 5pm

Northern Entry

Scaffold Build
- North Entry door to lecture theatre will be closed during works above. Alternate access via Southern ramp.
  - NOTE: These works will not take place at the same time as the work to the Southern entry.
- Building lift will be closed during works to lift cladding.
  - Alternative DDA Access via the Southern entry ramp.
  - Alternative delivery route for Phizz via the Southern entry ramp.
- Exclusion Zones around works areas for safety of users may impact usual pedestrian pathways. Refer Figure 1.
- Noisy Works expected during cladding demolition and installation of new.

- Southern entry door to lecture theatres will be closed during works above for safety of users. Alternate access via North Entry / Lift. [NOTE: These works will not take place at the same time as the work to the Northern entry]
