Drainage Works and Turf Replacement: Patina at Alumni Court

We would like to inform you about the upcoming drainage works and turf replacement scheduled to take place at the Alumni Court at Patina Restaurant, St Lucia.  

Affected Areas 

  • Patina Restaurant Lawn – Alumni Court  

When 

  • Start: 16 September 2024  

  • Finish: 27 September 2024   

  • Times: 6am to 3pm 

The lawn will return to full use from 14 October 2024.

Work details

Contractors and the UQ Grounds team will be working on site to remediate drainage followed by turf replacement. Patina will be open and operating as usual. Click here to find out more about Patina at Alumni Court.

Project details 

  • The works will involve site set up, fencing, excavation of drainage trenches and connections to existing drainage 

  • New drainage installation and gravel placement 

  • Transfer of fill into lawn areas  

  • Laying new turf  

  • Clean-up of the lawn areas and surrounding stockpiling areas  

  • Removal of fencing and reopen new lawn area on completion of works.  

Accessibility and temporary disruptions  

  • The ramp between the Great Court and Mansfield Place will be temporarily closed between 6am and 8am for the duration of the project and intermittently closed during the days to assist with loading and unloading.  

  • The pedestrian walkway will also be closed for the duration of the project for safety reasons. 

  • Appropriate signage will be in place for the duration of the project on site.  

  • Access Patina’s through Cooper Road, (top of Cooper Road backing onto the Great Court)
