The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre will be temporarily closed from Monday 1 December to Sunday 14 December 2025 to allow for essential maintenance and upgrade works to enhance the overall experience for all pool users.
During this period, the Centre will be unavailable for all activities. Notifications will be issued to pool users, including UQ Sport members and clubs, and signage will be in place to notify casual users.

When
- Monday 1 December to Sunday 14 December 2025 (approximately 2 weeks)
- Pool is anticipated to reopen on Monday 15 December 2025
- Works will be carried out from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (Saturday works as required)

- New pumps and filtration systems for both pools to support water quality
- New heater system for the 25m pool to improve temperature control
- Refreshed changing rooms with non-slip flooring and freshly painted walls
- General pool inspection and maintenance activities
