Essential works are required to repair stormwater infrastructure near the P10 UQ Centre and the Synthetic Fields car park to support drainage in the area. There will be intermittent traffic changes at the carpark entrance and exit. Property and Facilities is working to minimise impacts as much as possible.
Start/Finish
- Friday 8 May to Sunday 10 May 2026 (pending weather). Intermittent traffic changes will occur for 30-45 minutes up to 4 times daily.
- If wet weather impacts the works, they may be rescheduled to night works from 12 May 2026. An update will be provided if this is required.
Affected area
- P10 Synthetic Field and UQ Centre car park entry and exit, Sir William Macgregor Drive, St Lucia
Details
- The work involves installing a structural liner to repair a damaged stormwater pipe. This is a complex job requiring large utility trucks and specialised equipment.
During the works:
- One exit lane will be temporarily closed for 30-45mins at a time up to 4 times per day. We expect one exit lane and one entry lane will remain open, with traffic control in place.
- If trucks cannot use the exit lane for unforeseen circumstances, the entry lane may be temporarily closed for 30-45 minutes at a time.
- During this period, vehicles already parked will still be able to exit, but no vehicles will be able to enter. Traffic control will be in place.
- Customers would need to use alternative parking including along Sir William MacGregor Drive and in the P8 and P9 carparks.
- For the final stage of work, the carpark entry will need to be closed for 1 hour. This will be scheduled after 9pm to minimise impacts, with exit lanes remaining open for vehicle to exit.
