Look for signs to see which zone you are in and which conditions apply.

Paid parking applies Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm. Parking is free outside these hours. The Herston parking zones are available on the Herston campus parking map. (PDF, 452.3 KB)

Pink zone (14P daily restricted)

You can park in the pink zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at a daily rate.

Who can use it: UQ staff and students, excluding motorcycles

Cost: $5 per day

Purple zone (14P daily restricted)

You can park in the purple zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at a daily rate. 

Who can use it: UQ staff only, excluding motorcycles 

Cost: $5 per day

Orange zone (motorcycles)

Who can use it: everyone parking a motorcycle

Cost: $1 per day

Persons With Disability (PWD)

Who can use it: Anyone displaying an Australian or Red Disability Parking Permit

Service and commercial vehicles

Who can use it:

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm: any service and commercially registered vehicles 
  • Monday to Friday after 6pm: anyone with a valid UQ permit

Conditions:

  • Maximum 2 hours
  • Service and commercial vehicles can also use loading zones (maximum 30 minutes, unless otherwise signed)
  • Construction contractors and sub-contractors cannot use these spaces

Cost: Free

Short-term loading vehicles
