Accessible parking
Accessible parking is available at all University campuses and sites for students, staff and visitors.
Disability parking permits
Persons With Disability (PWD) parking spaces are reserved for people with an Australian or red disability parking permit. You can park in the designated PWD bays or in any other parking space other than Restricted or Reserved bays.
You must clearly display the permit so the permit number and expiry date are visible from outside the vehicle.
Valid overseas and interstate disability parking permits may be used on campus, and are equivalent to the Australian permit. Queensland parking rules apply.

Special needs permits are available to staff and students for the following reasons:
- pregnancy (6 weeks to due date)
- injuries that have caused temporary mobility issues.
When you apply, attach a medical certificate outlining the reason you'll need to park close to your office or place of study, with a start and end date for the permit. Special needs permits are available for a maximum of 8 weeks.
For long-term mobility issues, please discuss your situation with your supervisor and OHS representative.
Non-permit holders (staff and students) can apply via vPermit. Register for vPermit, then apply for the duration you require a permit for.
