Paid parking applies Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm. Parking is free outside these hours.

Blue zone (14P daily)

You can park in the blue zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at a flat daily rate.

Who can use it: everyone, excluding motorcycles

Cost: $5 per day

Grey zone (14P hourly capped)

You can park in the grey zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at an hourly rate capped at the maximum.

Who can use it: everyone, excluding motorcycles

Cost: $2.50 per hour, for a maximum of $7 per day

Red zone (14P hourly)

You can park in the red zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at an hourly rate.

Who can use it: everyone, excluding motorcycles

Cost: $2.50 per hour

Yellow zone (1 1⁄2P)

You can park in the yellow zone for 1.5 hours and will be charged at an hourly rate.

Who can use it: everyone, excluding motorcycles

Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. 1.5 hours maximum
  • Monday to Friday, 6pm to 9pm, no time limit
  • Your valid parking session ends if you stay over the 1.5 hour maximum and you may be fined.

Cost: $5 per hour

Pink zone (14P daily restricted)

You can park in the pink zone for up to 14 hours and will be charged at a daily rate.

Who can use it: UQ staff and students, excluding motorcycles

Cost: $5 per day

Orange zone (motorcycles)

Who can use it: everyone parking a motorcycle

Cost: $1 per day
 

Green Zone (Daily – Staff EV Charging)

You can park in the Green Zone all day and will be charged at a flat daily rate.

Who can use it: UQ staff only

  • UQ Staff (Daily Casual):

Saturday & Sunday, All Day - Cost: $1

Persons With Disability (PWD)

You must clearly display the permit so the permit number and expiry date are visible from outside the vehicle.

Construction contractors and sub-contractors

Who can use it: Construction contractors and sub-contractors

Where: Casual zones (Blue, Grey, Red or Yellow Zone) but on-site parking is generally very limited. You can liaise with your UQ project manager to get approval for on-site parking if it is available.

Cost: Casual zone rates

Service and commercial vehicles

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm: any service and commercially registered vehicles
  • Monday to Friday after 6pm: anyone with a valid UQ permit

Conditions:

  • Maximum 2 hours
  • Service and commercially registered vehicles can also use loading zones (maximum 30 minutes, unless otherwise signed)
  • Construction contractors and sub-contractors cannot use these spaces

Cost: Free

Short-term loading vehicles

  • Maximum 30 minutes, including after 6pm and weekends
  • Do not use for collecting or delivering assignments or letters

Visitor parking

Who can use it: Authorised visitors to schools, faculties and centres

Where:

  • P3 carpark
  • P4 carpark
  • P11 carpark
  • Blue zones (14P daily)
  • Red zones (14P hourly)
  • Grey zones (14P capped)
  • Yellow zones (1 1/2P)

Conditions:

  • Visitor parking is only available to authorised visitors of a UQ school, faculty or centre
  • Fees apply
  • The host school, faculty or centre is responsible for pre-booking their visitor's parking through the vPermit guest parking system
  • Parking bay availability is not guaranteed

Clinic and reserved parking

Who can use it:

  • Guests of senior executive staff 
  • clients at UQ clinics

Where: Authorised Vehicles Only zones

Conditions:

  • UQ host must pre-book their guests' and clinic clients parking though UQ Book It.

Event visitors

Who can use it: Visitors attending an approved UQ event

Where: 

  • Approved event parking location

Conditions:

  • Zone will be as per approved zone for the event.
  • Event parking is approved by Manager, Transport Systems.
